D Bank maintains correspondent relations with leading banks abroad, which facilitates the receipt of remittances ordered through a bank from around the world.

What you should know?

You need to provide the ordering party with the exact bank details for your account, which include:

  • Recipient's full name - Your names
  • Address
  • IBAN in D Commerce Bank AD
  • Bank: D Commerce Bank AD, Sofia, Bulgaria
  • BIC / SWIFT code: DEMI BG SF

The terms of execution are in accordance with the usual banking practice - in case of payments in BGN and foreign currency value date of certification of the correspondent or settlement account of the Bank. In case of payments in foreign currency from countries outside the EU and the EEA, the client's account is credited on the next working day with a value date of the date of receipt of the funds on the correspondent account of the Bank.

Payments in foreign currency are made through the international payment system SWIFT and through the intermediary banks - correspondents of D Commerce Bank.

What you should know?

D Bank AD offers its clients a service for cross-border transfers, according to their payment orders, which are executed under the following conditions according to the value date and type of currency of the transfer, specified by the Client, as follows:

  1. Payment order in EUR with specified value date Same business day and accepted by the Bank until 14:00 on the same business day, is processed and executed within the same business day.
  2. Payment order in another foreign currency / excluding EUR /, with the specified value date Same business day and accepted by the Bank until 12:00 on the same business day, is processed and executed within the same business day.
  3. Payment order in foreign currency, accepted by the Bank until 15:30  on a business day and with a specified value date Next business day, is processed and executed with a value date Next business day.
  4. Payment order in foreign currency, accepted by the Bank until 16:00 on a business day and with a specified type of transfer Ordinary with value date Two working days or without specified value date, is processed and executed with value date Two business days.

Payment order for transfer in foreign currency, accepted by the Bank after the above mentioned hours, is considered received on the next business day and is executed on the next business day with a value date corresponding to the type of transfer specified by the Client.

Requirements for submission of information and documents

When ordering transfers in foreign currency for recipients in third countries (outside the EU), it is mandatory to fill in:

  • Declaration under Art. 2 para 1 of Ordinance №28 of the BNB - for transfers equal to or exceeding the equivalent of BGN 30,000;
  • Copies of documents - reasons for making the payment, according to the Foreign Exchange Law and Ordinance № 28 of the BNB and the Ministry of Finance;
  • Declaration of origin of funds according to the Law on Measures against Money Laundering - for transfers equal to or exceeding the equivalent of BGN 30,000. Any local legal entity or sole trader who has concluded a transaction under Art. 7, para. 5 of the Foreign Exchange Law, submits a declaration to the BNB and certifies the declaration to the bank.

Payments ordered in favor of UAE beneficiaries

All payments ordered in favor of UAE beneficiaries must contain a 3-letter code indicating the purpose of the payment. The code should be linked and complement to the information filled in the Reason field. For example, if the payment is for a purchased product and invoice numbers are cited in this connection, the code should be GDS. If such a code is not specified, the translation may be advertised / returned, which will lead to additional costs for the ordering party.
