Documentary letters of credit
Form of payment in which the bank undertakes an irrevocable commitment to make payment for goods and services in favor of the beneficiary, according to the documents and terms provided in the letter of credit.

The documentary letter of credit on import is an irrevocable commitment of the issuing bank to pay to the seller, beneficiary of the letter of credit, the agreed amounts for commercial transactions, when presenting the required papers.

The Bank issues letters of credit in local and foreign currency in accordance with the legislation in force in the Republic of Bulgaria, the relevant Uniform Rules and Customs for Documentary Letters of Credit (published by the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris) and international banking practice in this field.
The documentary letter of credit on export is an irrevocable commitment of the buyer's bank (issuing bank), received in D Commerce Bank AD, in favor of the seller - beneficiary of the letter of credit, to pay a certain amount of money when presenting the beneficiary the documents provided in the letter of credit within the agreed deadlines.
Ensures a firm and independent commitment of the bank that the exported goods will be paid upon presentation of documents within the deadline and in accordance with the terms of the letter of credit.
